Calastone, the independent transaction network for the managed
funds industry, has announced that the company has begun
processing electronic trades of managed funds for Australian
clients in January 2012.

A video we showed you exclusively here on 3News is leading to a number of tips to police. We aired the surveillance video, showing a man stealing an entire jewelry case from one of the kiosks at La Palmera Mall this past Sunday.
There was more than $25,000 worth of jewelry inside that case. The man was last seen jumping into his get-away car. Witnesses say it was a Ford Expedition and they saw someone waiting in it.

When June C. Greig and Gina F. Duffy were working on a pet project, they could have had no idea of the recognition it would receive.
But the book Greig wrote and Duffy illustrated has been nominated by the Dog Writers Association of America for an award in the Human/Animal Bond category for the Maxwell medallion for excellence. Winners will be announced Feb. 12 in New York.

Police are asking for help finding three people wanted for impersonating detectives and robbing a woman in Brooklyn.
Officers say the three suspects walked into a building on Metropolitan Avenue in Linden Hill on October 4 and told a 55-year-old woman they were detectives investigating a drug case.
Police say the trio then stole jewelry and ran off.
One suspect is described as between 30 and 35 years old, about 5-feet-7-inches tall, and was wearing a white t-shirt, dark pants, and sneakers.
Another suspect is described as 25 to 30 years old, six feet tall, and was last seen wearing a black hoodie, a black hat, and blue jeans.
Police do not have a description...
